RIIA recently announced that Peng Chen, President of Morningstar's Investment Management Division, joined the Curriculum Advisory Board for the Retirement Management Analyst Designation. In an article appearing on AdvisorOne.com, Francois Gadenne explained:
"Our mission statement is, 'the view across the silo.' Because we're not wedded to the status quo in our industry, our value proposition is to help our members see disruptions that no one else sees before they happen. There are two main advisor types; planners through the CFP and managers through the CFA. They're two different cultures, and Peng is able to bridge those cultures.' Peng Chen also commented:
"My work with Morningstar and Ibbotson gives me that unique view across the silos, so I'll be spending as much time as I can on the Curriculum Advisory Board."

The Harris Poll organization has a June 2009 survey showing that just one quarter of Americans say banks are
honest and trustworthy. Only 13 percent of respondents say the same thing about financial planning firms.
The lowest ranked of all are Wall Street and credit card companies, at 4 percent each. Building trust is has
