There are a numbers of ways in which you can share content directly on this site. You can also submit Commentary and Events-related articles to RIIA for listing on the site by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Follow these simple steps to post Comments to articles, list retirement industry-related Events on the calendar or add to the Discussion Forum. If you are a member of RIIA®, you can list your Business under the Supporting Members area of the site.
- Register as a new user
- Log In
- You can now post Comments on the site
- To post to other areas click on Profile
- Click on the area you want to post to: RMA Discussion Forum, Supporting Members, and Events.
- Click on the Add New button (In Events, you need to click My Events first, then Add New)
- Fill in the form and upload an image if desired (Note: Images need to be smaller than 2000 x 2000 pixels, so may need to be resized – see below)
- Click Submit
- Once approved, your post will be submitted and posted within a few hours
How to Re-Size An Image
Open a picture in Microsoft Paint or a photo resizing application. Select Resize and chose an ideal image size of around 1000 pixels (maintain image aspect ratio), then save. Upload the resized image you have saved.
Detailed Posting Instructions
Go to Profile page: Once you have logged you can list your retirement-related business and events on the site. It is simple to do and the process is the same for each of these categories. To post a classified, first click on Profile when you have logged in. Then click on Supporting Members in the header. Next click the Add New button (right hand side of page). This will open a form for you to complete. Then fill in the details and upload a picture following the instructions. Note: Only paid up members may list their companies on the site. Add in your contact information and click Submit at the bottom of the page. Your listing will be sent to the Webmaster, who will approve it within 24 hours and post it to the site.
Posting an Event: Follow the same steps as above. Click on My Events first and then Add New. For an event, you will have a few additional choices. If you have a location, the Retirement Events listing system will both generate a map for the location and give you the option to have people RSVP. Follow the instruction in the box. Once you have clicked the Submit button, your event will be listed on the Event Calendar.
Add to a Discussion: You can add to a discussion or Create a Discussion Topic by clicking on the Discuss picture on the main page of Greenport Townhub. When you are in the discussions page you can add a topic and comments to any existing discussion. The basic rule of comments is they must be respectful. The webmaster will remove posts that fail to meet these requirements.
Comments: RIIA invites comments on articles and other content. Comments may only be posted by individuals who have registered on the site. No anonymous comments will be published.

Residents posting to the site agree to abide by all laws that govern information posted in public or publicly accessible websites. In the event, the Webmaster is notified of content that does not confirm with laws and requirements, the Webmaster will remove the content.
