2008 RIIA ANNUAL MEETING AND AWARDS DINNER
RIIA's 2nd Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner was held on September 21 and 22 at the beautiful Hyatt Harborside at Boston's Logan International Airport. The event proved to be a one-of-a-kind venue for RIIA members and non-members to share The View Across Silos.
It was a time of exchange and insight among industry leaders, researchers, advisors and academics along with our noted authors and influential media who are addressing the difficult challenges across the retirement income continuum.
Highlights included keynote addresses from David Warsh, author of
Knowledge and the Wealth of Nations: A Story of Economic Discovery, Dan McNamara, Managing Director of Bank of America Planning and Investment Products Group, and Michael Colon, Chief Operating Officer of DWS Investments.
In addition, participants received updates on the great progress of innovative work being done by RIIA's Education and Research Committees as well as a panel on intellectual property and patents, and a review of the competitive retirement income product landscape from Chris Raham of Ernst
& Young.
Attendees were also entertained enjoying the beautiful views and great food of the Harborside hotel at the RIIA Awards Dinner where
Excellence in Communications and Lifetime Academic Achievement were recognized.
